 Political Savvy?

Brilliant stroke of political genious.  By having Rev Wright continue to push the issue further, this gives Obama the opporunity, with the proper justification, to further distance himself from the Rev.  In all likelyhood, this chain of events will provide Obama with the excuse he needs to publicly switch churches.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he announces this move within the next 2 weeks (of course I’ve been wrong before).  This whole recent chain of events and political posturing sounds like a concerted PR campaign to flush out what would otherwise, no doubt, be a huge issue in the general.  If Rev Wright was truly his pastor or even less - a man with whom he shares a mutual level of respect and admiration - he wouldn’t be loudly coming out against his most famous parishoner.  Now I know Mr. Wright is not currently the head pastor at Trinity, but in all likelyhood he still holds significant clout for the same reasons Obama does, which makes for a perfect excuse and the most obvious stage for the Reverend and Obama to “have it out.”  They both have something to say and Obama desperately needs to put this issue behind him and make any other candidate look petty by breaching the subject or even worse, attacking him on it.

ESPN documents a otherworldly sports streak of 459 consecutive victories the most ever by any high school sports team in the country.  This is even more unreal considering this streak is taking place in Wrestling an individual sport.  Easily the most competitive and physically taxing sport out there wrestling is done one on one not as a team.  Collectively the results are added up for each individual match and the school with the most wins wins the meet but that’s still crazy.
