Brand to Philadelphia and Maggette to the Warriors

ESPN just reported that Elton Brand has been delt to the 76ers and Corey Maggette has agreed verbally to a deal with the Golden State Warriors. Adecent deal for Philadelphia even though they over paid for a injury prone Poward Forward.

The Warriors on the other hand for some reason decided they needed to pay for a offensive swingman that doesn’t play D.  Golden State needed to pick up a strong rebounding Power Forward aka Elton Brand.  What they didn’t need was another prima dona aka Baron Davis or another Jason Richardson.  I just don’t get this move.  Hopefully Mullin proves me wrong but right now this looks like a waste of money.
