No “Men At Work” Signs Allowed in Atlanta

A womens magazine editor, Cynthia Good, became sick at the site of “Men at Work” signs next to women who were working along side men.  She began a campaign to rid the signs from the streets of Atlanta.  Today the news broke that she is successful in her quest to not offend any women driver.

“Public Works officials are replacing 50 “Men Working” with signs that say “Workers Ahead.” It will cost $22 to cover over some of the old signs and $144 to buy new signs, said Public Works spokeswoman Valerie Bell-Smith said.”

You know what those signs that say, “Slow People Crossing?” Well it’s offensive to me.  My neighbor, Cynthia Good, is slow and I don’t want her to get upset over these signs.  Can’t they just say People Crossing Drive Slow?

I don’t get it.  So what if you’re offended.  You’re not entitled to not get offended.  There are no rights for you there.  Besides what’s wrong with Men At Work?
