NBA Loses Another Player To Europe

ESPN reported that, New Jersey Nets free agent Nenad Krstic signed a two year deal worth $3 million euros per year with Triumph Moscow early Tuesday morning, Krstic’s agent, Marc Cornstein, said.” That $3 million euros translates to roughly $9 million per year here in the States considering exchange rate and the fact that European clubs pay all the players’ taxes.

This is definitely starting to be a problem for the NBA.  Krstic is number 7 so far this year to opt for Europe over the NBA.  Krstic joins Josh Childress, Bostjan Nachbar, Juan Carlos Navarro, Jorge Garbajosa, Carlos Delfino and Primoz Brezec.

Let’s face it until the dollar recovers this will continue to happen.  Think about this from the perspective of a European player playing in the NBA.  Most of them would probably rather be closer to home and play for a league where their team members actually play like a team and play every game as though it matters instead of worrying about their stats or if their getting enough respect from the refs.

This is just another in a long line of problems the NBA is facing.  Madness predicts Stern will do nothing.  What I really want to know is where’s the tipping point for Yahoo to come out with Fantasy Euro Ball!?

Actually Primoz Brezec doesn’t count no NBA team wanted that guy anyways. Pops Mensah-Bonsu left too but he sucks like Primoz. Goran Dragic from the Suns also left. As well as Brandon Jennings leaving instead of attending college.
