John Daly + Hooters = Passed out drunk in a flower bed

“Golfer John Daly was taken into custody Sunday morning by Winston-Salem police after he was found drunk outside an area Hooters restaurant…While at the restaurant, police said Daly “appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative,” refused repeatedly to be taken to the hospital and was asked to leave the restaurant by several workers.” Daly was found passed out drunk in a flower bed and had pissed himself.

Honestly I hope John figures his life out before he ends up killing himself.  At least he’s comedy.

Lute Olson out at Arizona

Arizona’s Lute Olson is stepping down as the school’s men’s basketball coach, a source has told ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale. Associate coach Mike Dunlap will take over the head coaching duties on an interim basis, the source told Vitale.

Lute Olson brought legitimacey and national prominence to University of Arizona’s basketball program since he started there in 1983.  His overall record is 589-188.  “Arizona won the 1997 NCAA national title. His 27 NCAA Tournament appearances as a coach are one behind Bob Knight for the all-time record. His streak of 24 straight tournament appearances between 1985-2008 is second all-time to North Carolina’s 27 (between 1975 and 2001).”

Where’s Manny Going?

Now that the scum sucking Dodgers are out of the playoffs the central question remains where is Manny going this offseason? The main cast of characters that are going to be involved in the bidding race include: Orioles, Blue Jays, Yankees, and Dodgers.  Reportedly Manny is looking for a 6 year contract at $25 million a year.

The Yankees’ will “take a look at Manny,” according to someone familiar with their thinking, the Mets are said to be weighing a run despite deep pitching needs, and the pitching-strong Blue Jays are also believed to be considering a run. The Orioles are another team that has been suggested as a possible landing spot, but they are more than one player away from competing in the ultra-tough AL East.

John Madden Taking This Weekend Off!?

John Madden who has been chewing meat and explaining sports since I was a kid is taking this weekend off to spend time with his family.  Normally I would be ok with this but I’ve grown so accustomed to phrases like, “ah, See, look right here, see, and what happens, is, see, you got the QB, see, and he goes here, and then he goes there, and BOOM and that’s football.”

Who else is going to say bootleg all Sunday?

Madden who refuses to fly as planes are the work of the devil takes a bus to every game. His streak of consecutively called games ends at 476.  Weak. Over the past few weeks, “Madden went from Jacksonville, Fla., to San Diego last week; he would have had to return to Florida for this Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay. There’s no Sunday Night Football game the following weekend, so Madden would have then headed home to the Bay Area.”

Madness Reply

In the short time that I’ve been publishing MadnessLetters I have been privileged to receive all sorts of hate mail, encouragement, etc. however every now and then I receive an email that just begs for a reply.

In yesterday’s Weekend Insanity I had a brief one sentence blurb on the recent misfortune of Lawrence Phillips entitled, “Lawrence Phillips tragic and stupid fall from grace.” Admittedly not the best title but appropriate given his utter stupidity. A mensa candidate decided to write in giving his or her two cents.

The readers comments are in black, you can also see them on the site. My replies in red.

“Go to http://www.lawrencephillips.info to read the truth about Lawrence Phillips which media will not publish although they have received this information over and over.” News flash the media doesn’t care about an athelete who hasn’t done sh*t since college.  Your version of the truth is debatable at best andis  most definitely bias.  Let’s examine what wikipedia has to say.  Wow, what do you know wikipedia can’t get through the first sentence without mentioning his, “numerous conflicts with law enforcement.” No you’re right, he sounds like a stand up guy.

Media spoke with Phillips’ attorney on the day of sentencing but refused to print anything she said-rather they deceptively said she did not return telephone calls!  You have to be kidding me.  The media won’t report a convicted criminal’s attorney’s opinion!?

Notice that statements of (alleged) victims are never quoted. (It’s not alleged once someone gets convicted of the actual crime the witnesses were brought in to testify about.) Flores’ statement during Phillips’ sentencing was that his “leg was hurt during the ACCIDENT”!!! Selective hype comes from those (prosecutor, media, etc.) who care nothing about alleged victims, other than to use them for their own agenda!!! Right, exactly, that’s what their job is – to care about getting a conviction, what you refer to as their “agenda.” The media reports the facts of the case e.g. his conviction(s).

Regularly read the website above to keep updated about appeals, where the cover-ups and deception that media, prosecutors and judges have gotten away with so far (nice plug) will be exposed–this time the end will be different!!!  HA. You think you’re going to make a difference. How cute.

Time will tell it all and California Supreme Court has opened up the process!!!  Good luck with that.

People stop being sheep!!! Stop blindly hating & seek the truth! Why is everyone down on sheep? I like sheep they’re tasty and supply quality wool. Anyone else tired of being called sheep because we don’t agree with a college students recent take on the world?

From Wikipedia:

On August 212005, Phillips was arrested for assault after allegedly driving a car into three teenagers, following a dispute with the teens during a pick-up football game in Los Angeles, California. At the time of the arrest, Phillips was wanted by San Diego in connection with two alleged domestic abuse incidents involving a former girlfriend, who claimed that Phillips choked her to the point of unconsciousness during one of the incidents. In addition, Los Angeles police were seeking Phillips in connection with yet another, separate domestic abuse allegation that occurred previously in Los Angeles.

In March, 2006, the Associated Press reported that Phillips had been ordered to stand trial on felony assault charges stemming from the August 21, 2005 incident. The assigned judge dismissed two counts of child abuse and one count of leaving the scene of an accident.

On October 102006, Phillips was found guilty of seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon. On October 32008, Phillips was sentenced to 10 years in State Prison.

Kimbo Loses in record time

In one of the quickest defeats ever in EliteXC’s short history Kimbo Slice loses a major fight against a relative no name in Seth Petruzelli.  (Ken Shamrock could not fight due to cut over left eye).  I am sitting on my couch still shocked and no not at the fact that the Miami Dolphins actually have an offense.  They have to do a rematch. I feel jipped.  14 seconds?  Come on.
