VP Debate: Who Won?

Who won the debate?  Everyone has their own opinion who won, the mainstream media will spin who won the debate as long as they can for ratings and both parties will claim victory.  So how do you tell who came out ahead?  The best way to decide who actually won the debate is to examine a collection of blogs, quotes, polls and articles. Or just stick you finger in the air and call it.

Let’s examine what the polls are saying?

AOL Poll

CBS Poll

CNN Report Card

Drudgereport Poll

{{{{DRUDGE POLL}}}} WHO WON THE VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?…

BIDEN

28% 139,602
PALIN

70% 342,152
NEITHER

2% 9,100

Total Votes: 490,854

What The News Is Saying:

MSNBC: Palin delivers in debate, but doubts linger

ABC: Biden, Palin Debate With Smiles, Folksy Lingo

FoxNews: Palin performance helps McCain regain political footing

CNN: Palin gets back on track, but Biden wins debate

Who watched? Just about everybody that’s going to vote.

I think the best way to evaluate who won or lost a debate if by looking at what the opposition is saying.

“Andrew Sullivan, to put it mildly, doesn’t like Sarah Palin. But 15 minutes into the vice presidential debate, he thinks she’s winning. “She’s chipper; she’s full of folksy anecdotes; she’s attacking Wall Street,” Sullivan writes at his blog for The Atlantic. “She keeps talking about ‘Joe Six-Pack’ and ‘Hockey moms.’ No real substance from Palin but Biden seems off-stride, and flat. He sounds, well, Washington.” He later adds, “So far, she’s winning not the arguments but the chipper series of anecdotes and the style factor are making her more attractive a figure than Biden.”

Chicago Bar Displays Nude Sarah Palin Painting

Odd as a nude painting of a Vice Presidential candidate seems this gets much much worse.  Bruce Elliott, who is husband to the owner of the bar, the Old Town Ale House, painted the nude portrait of Sarah Palin.  Here’s where it gets a little weird.  He used his daughter as a model for the painting.  Ah, what?

The nude portrait of the Republican vice presidential nominee is hanging, “above the bar, where it’s now a prime attraction among his display of more than 200 celebrity portraits and other racy art.”
