Tiger Woods heroic win at the US Open on Monday was made legendary in part due to his overcoming significant injury/pain.  We now know how significant his injury is and was as he is now out for the season.

Sports Illustrated has run a great article, with pics, of famous athletes who have overcome pain on their way to victory.  Some of these athletes on this list, errr Curt Schilling, have been called out for having “faked” their injury.  You be the judge.
